About LabelDataPlus

LabelDataPlus provides enhanced searching and high quality information about marketed drugs. We provide researchers, health information providers, and the public with a comprehensive, current, look-up and download resource of medication content and labeling.

A portion of the content in LabelDataPlus is similar to that found on the National Library of Medicine’s (NLM) DailyMed web site. LabelDataPlus additionally includes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), OTC Monograph drugs, Homeopathic drugs, and Unapproved drugs; this information is acquired via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Drugs identified as "unapproved" have not undergone review by the FDA for safety and efficacy and their labeling has not been approved. For more information about unapproved drugs, see the FDA's website.

The information found in LabelDataPlus and the NLM’s DailyMed is Structured Product Labeling (SPL) information submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

LabelDataPlus is updated daily.

LabelDataPlus allows powerful searching by:

  1. Ingredients, active and inactive
  2. Sponsor
  3. Dosage form
  4. RxNorm

Full text searching is available across all data.   Click Here for Search Tips

Boolean searching allows for multiple combinations such as:
(Active or Inactive Ingredient contains CODEINE) AND (Sponsor contains LDP-PHARMA) AND (Dosage Form contains TABLET) AND ('dizziness' is contained in any label section).

Browse clinical pharmacology, contraindications, warnings, adverse reactions and more.  LabelDataPlus also provides searching and display of previously published label versions.

LabelDataPlus also provides FDA Recall notices, FDA Medication and Device notices and FDA Consumer notices.

LabelDataPlus is provided at no charge. We seek your feedback as we continue to build and design what we hope to be the premier Drug Label repository on the Internet.
